ABOUT US
AWF has been in business for 20+ years. We come from small beginnings where we did Refrigeration and Energy as a sideline business to evolving into our main line business with no other business interests.
AWF brings a wealth of experience and training to the table.
Waldo Van Schalkwyk trained at ACRA in Edenvale and acquired certification in the refrigeration field. He had a mentor, partner and good friend that also taught him things only experience can teach. This was not limited to Refrigeration but also Electricity.
Waldo acquired his LP Gas Practitioner License in 2008 and are currently a Domestic and Commercial LP Gas Practitioner registered with SAQCC Gas. Waldo is also registered with LPGSA and SERACCA in Refrigeration and LP Gas and licensed by SAQCC as both disciplines fall under PER Regulations in the OHSA act and regulated by Department Labor. We are registered in the category of Commercial and Residential in LP Gas and Refrigeration and Air conditioning.
AWF has a small but very dynamic team. We believe in staying current in our industry and frequently attend training presented by our suppliers so we can bring you cutting edge new technology and energy saving safe devices and equipment tailormade for your specific need.
Some of our suppliers that we partner with is Bosch, LG Electronics, Samsung, Midea, Hisense, Metraclark, Scotsman, BCE, Snomaster, Manitowoc, AFROX, Severon, to name but a few and there are many more.
We do anything that heats and cools in your household, business, kitchen, lodge, or shop. We repair supply and install all these products that you cook with, process food with, freeze your food, ventilation and climate control of your office, Lodge room, hot or cold. We are commercial LP Gas installers, Commercial Refrigeration installers and Commercial Air Conditioning installers as mentioned above.
We look at your future saving with new technology to put more money back in your pocket. We do this with heating or cooling your water for whatever application it is required with the most cost effective and proven solutions. From making sure you are independent on making ice for your customers to selling ice as a product. We are also legally required by law to do refresher training in Refrigeration and LP Gas every three years to keep our license requirements up to date and current.
We operate and live in Zululand and therefore we have sourced equipment and suppliers that withstand the conditions of Zululand and suppliers that understands the demands in Zululand. We know which companies PC Board’s do not last in Zululand and which do. All spares and equipment needs to be “imported” into Zululand as suppliers are far and therefore we endeavor to supply equipment that lasts in these conditions.
